The right camera bag for every occasion: from sling to messenger
A good camera bag protects your gear, keeps it within easy reach and still doesn't look like a camera bag.
compagnon offers two lines: the Element slings of the Performance Line are weatherproof, expandable with a roll-top and, thanks to the VarioStrap, can be worn as a sling backpack, shoulder bag or crossbody bag. The messengers and weekenders of the Heritage Line are handcrafted from naturally tanned leather from southern Germany – timeless and discreet for everyday life, business and travel.
What to consider when choosing a camera bag
- Small & discreet: for a Leica Q3, Leica M11/M10, Fujifilm X100VI or a compact mirrorless camera, the nano messenger is our smallest camera bag. The little messenger and the Element sling 7L offer a little more room for lenses.
- For full-frame mirrorless systems: the Element sling 7L holds a camera with 1–2 travel zooms, the 12L two to three lenses and a laptop up to 13″. The unique, cut for women, and the medium messenger hold 2–4 lenses and a laptop.
- Large & for travel: the weekenders have wide openings for bulky bodies, even with a battery grip. The little weekender is carry-on friendly, the weekender fits several bodies and a laptop up to 16″.
- Weatherproof, not waterproof: the Element slings have a rugged, weatherproof shell made of ReGen Carbon AX R, the leather bags are water-repellent. None of the bags should be submerged.
- Flexible interior: all bags have padded, removable hook-and-loop dividers. The Element slings also feature ProTec padding with stretch pockets.
