I don't live in the EU and would like to order from compagnon. Do I have to pay the prices according to the store including tax?
No, the prices for non-European orders are calculated without tax. The delivery address is decisive for tax exemption. This must be outside the EU. Your order will be exempt from tax after you enter your delivery address. A tax deduction is not possible for a delivery address within Germany.
For some browsers, aborting the checkout process to return to the shop/product page, the product price will usually return to to a tax included setting even while logged in a customer account. Upon checkout, prices will always adapt to the shipping address accordingly. Once no "tax included" statement is shown within the final checkout confirmation, no taxes are included.
I live in the EU and have a registered business with a VAT number. What prices apply to me?
If your business entitles you to a tax deduction and you can provide us with a valid VAT identification number with a suitable company/delivery address, we can authorize your customer account in our store for tax-free purchases.
Please create a customer account before you make your purchase and send us an email with the necessary information to info@compagnon-bags.com. We will check your enquiry and approve your account for tax-free shopping. Please only complete your order after this confirmation.
Subsequent tax deduction for already existing, delivered and/or billed orders is not possible.
Unfortunately, no tax deduction is possible for customers with company/delivery addresses within Germany.
How can I pay for my order?
Depending on your country of origin, you can choose from various secure payment methods such as PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna or bank transfer. Which options are available at your address is determined by the respective payment service provider. We have no influence or insight into this.
For invoice or installment purchase options, you will receive all information about the process via email from our partners. The instructions and deadlines in connection with these payments must be complied with under all circumstances and cannot be influenced by us.
I would like to pay for my order in advance. How can I transfer the invoice amount?
You will receive our account details for the bank transfer when you complete your order and in the order confirmation email. Please use your order number and your name as the reason for payment. If you do not use your order number and your name as the reason for payment, the booking and therefore the dispatch of your order may be delayed.

Payments by bank transfer typically delay the start of dispatch by 2-3 working days.
Delivery & Shipping
Questions about shipping times, costs and delivery dates
How high are the shipping costs?
The shipping costs depend on the country of destination and the volume/weight of the shipment. The individual costs will be calculated for you during the ordering process. In general, the following shipping costs apply: Germany from 20€ order value: Free shipping. EU: 10€. Switzerland, Liechtenstein & Norway: 15€. Outside the EU with DHL Premium International from 29€, Express worldwide (significantly shorter transit time, usually expedited) from 39€.
For all shipments outside Europe, the shipping costs are calculated individually by parcel weight and destination country at checkout.
How long does shipping take?
For international orders within the EU, the average shipping time is 3-10 working days, depending on the country of destination.
Please note that customs clearance and import inspections (especially outside the EU) may take a few days. This duration cannot be influenced by us and varies depending on the destination country.
Outside the EU we assume a transit time of 12-25 shipping days with DHL Premium, delays due to local import duration possible.
Particularly fast World Express shipping at an extra charge typically takes 5-8 days including import.
My desired companion is not in stock. What does the delivery date next to the product mean?
First come, first served. Delivery dates are generally updated daily and can sometimes vary. The delivery dates are only valid for pre-orders. With a valid order and completed payment, we reserve your desired companion for you from the expected delivery. Without a completed order/payment, there is no entitlement to a place on the waiting list. This means that an expected subsequent delivery may already be sold out to pre-orderers, which does not change the public status in the store. Of course, we work hard to keep such cases and waiting times as short as possible, but due to small production quantities in manual work and equally small, traditional suppliers, certain delays are occasionally possible.
Which shipping company will process my order?
Shipments within Germany are delivered by DPD or DHL. Typically, all standard parcel shipments have comprehensive tracking and also DPD Predict including numerous selectable delivery options. International orders within the EU, transported by DPD International Air Freight or DHL, may offer similar tracking information depending on the country of destination. International orders outside the EU are shipped worldwide by DHL International Premium or DHL Express. Depending on availability, a different, equivalent and equally fast shipping service can also be selected. We ship CO2-neutral and environmentally friendly.
Are there any additional costs/fees for international orders?
Depending on the customs and import regulations of your home country, additional costs may apply. Within the EU, we will charge you the locally applicable taxes upon payment. We do not charge tax for shipments outside the EU. Our logistics team prepares each shipment with care to ensure speedy import processing. The local regulations and authorities of your shipping country determine the amount of customs duties and taxes to be paid on import. You can find more detailed information on the website of your local customs or import authority.
Returns & revocation
Questions about returns, exchange, warranty etc.
How can I return my order?
A new, unused item (with the exception of digital products such as downloads) can be returned within 14 days of receipt. The shipping address for returns can be found on your shipment, on the delivery bill, your order confirmation email, in the signatures of our customer emails or in our terms and conditions. The costs for the return shipment are borne by the buyer. We will refund your purchase including shipping costs paid up to the amount of the cheapest shipping option available. Refundable are unused goods in unaltered new condition and complete scope of delivery. Please note: Element and Adapt Line products are delivered with tags. For a return, these tags must of course be attached to the product. Exchanges/returns are not possible without these labels.
I would like to exchange my compagnon for a different color/size/model. How do I proceed?
Due to the system, we cannot exchange your order directly. To avoid errors in the process, please send us the unwanted item in a returnable condition (see above) and place a new, separate order for the desired alternative product. This will allow us to process your return as usual and issue a refund.
What do I do if my compagnon is defective/damaged?
If your compagnon is damaged, please contact usat unterinfo@compagnon-bags.comundand describe the problem. Please also send us informative photos and/or video of the damage. As part of the warranty, we will repair damage that has not been caused willfully or by improper use free of charge within two years of purchase. The invoice must be presented for the repair to be free of charge. If damage occurs after the two-year period has expired, a repair is possible for a flat-rate charge of €29, provided the extent of the damage is within reasonable limits. Proper repair of our items is time-consuming. Therefore, please allow for a repair period of 4 - 6 weeks. All repairs are carried out without recognition of any legal obligation.
