There are solid metal feet at the bottom of your unique, which, in conjunction with the internally reinforced base plate, ensure that it stands securely at all times. This means your bag will always stand upright instead of falling over
the supple leather shoulder strap offers a removable leather shoulder pad for your maximum comfort. You can position it to your liking or even wrap it around the hand straps if needed to carry your unique tightly under your arm over your shoulder
The most robust shoulder strap offers no security if the rings or eyelets are not of high quality. Our solid metal parts are not only extremely strong, but also offer additional surface protection, durability and a special look thanks to their shiny chrome or gold plating
The zippers are also designed for many years of use and are made by YKK, the premium world market leader for sophisticated fasteners. The fasteners are also polished and have no hard edges that could scratch skin or equipment

Material and craftsmanship

Fair, responsible production with an appropriate ecological footprint is essential for us. The raw hides for our famous leather come from pastures in southern Germany, sometimes even directly from our home region. We do not support complete stabling, which is why our leather has individual pores and certain irregularities that reflect the free life of the animals
All compagnon leathers are tanned by a small German manufactory according to family tradition, in a purely natural way, without the addition of chemicals for color or texture. The secret lies in craftsmanship and care
the natural tanning process works natural oils and waxes into the pores of the leather. These ensure that the leather provides this compagnon with reliable weather protection. Regular care with 'the beewax' leather care maintains the weatherproof nature year after year
compagnon leather products are made by our skilled seamstresses and craftsmen in our workshop near Krakow.

Bodies

Depending on the number of lenses & housing size, two cameras can of course also be transported
compact mirrorless cameras such as Leica M10, Leica Q2, Olympus E-M1 Mark III, Fujifilm X-T4 and many more.
compact APS-C DSLR bodies such as Canon EOS 90D, Nikon D5700 etc.
mirrorless full-frame systems such as Sony Alpha a7R IV, Canon R5, Nikon Z7 II etc.
Full-frame DSLRs such as Canon 5D Mark IV, Nikon D850, Canon 6D Mark II etc. (without battery grip)
*For full-frame housings with battery grip or comparable height, a laptop cannot be transported.

Lenses

Lenses can be transported upright with a maximum length of approx. 25 cm
camera-lens combinations up to a total length of approx. 37cm can still be stowed away when lying in the bag
the height of the bag allows standard, fast zooms such as a 70-200mm f/2.8 to be transported upright directly on a DSLR
This also applies to a wide range of fast fixed focal lengths such as Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4, EF 85mm f/1.2, 135mm f/2, 14mm f/2.8, 24-105mm f/4 etc.

Accessories

A device up to 13 inches in size can be stored in the laptop/tablet compartment (2021 Macbook Pro also 14 inches)
depending on the size of the camera (equipment), a compact drone kit with e.g. a DJI Mavic Mini 2 can also be transported
The classic tote shape with large opening provides a full overview of the equipment. This makes loading, unloading and organizing much easier
Documents, notebooks, filters, gloves, smartphone, wallet or other items can be stored in the versatile front pocket

Shipping and delivery

We deliver online orders to Germany and internationally. The delivery time within Germany is usually 1-3 working days, Europe 3-8 working days and International 10-25 working days. Shipping to islands may add 1-7 business days of delivery time, depending on country of destination.
Deliveries outside of the European Tax Union may be delayed by local authorities, import regulations and local general conditions. Neither we nor our carriers are able to influence these delays directly.
