Camera inserts (IGU) at a glance
IGU units are standalone, padded camera inserts – often called camera cubes. They turn your backpack into a camera backpack and come out whenever you want to use it without a camera.
Adapt IGU 6L · 10L · 18L
For the Adapt backpack 25L 2.0 (or 1.0)- Fully padded – the Adapt itself has only light built-in camera padding, so the IGU provides the protection.
- Attaches securely inside the Adapt and makes full use of its quick top access.
- Three sizes: choose by how much gear you carry and how much room you want for clothes and food.
Spare parts instead of a new bag
A compagnon is made to go with you for many years. If something gets lost or breaks along the way, you can get original spare parts such as quick-release buckles or the mud cover individually – instead of buying a whole new backpack.
Accessories FAQ
Can I use the IGU camera inserts in other backpacks?
Yes. All IGU units can be used loose in any backpack that's big enough inside for the unit. They only attach in the matching compagnon models: the Adapt IGU in the Adapt backpack, the trekk 75 IGU in the Element trekkpack 75L.
Does the Adapt IGU fit in the Element backpack?
The Adapt IGU 6L and 10L fit in the Element backpack 30L, but they don't attach there and don't work with its side quick access. Since the Element already has built-in padding and flexible hook-and-loop dividers, you usually don't need an extra camera insert in it.
What's the difference between the Adapt IGU and the trekk 75 IGU?
The Adapt IGUs are padded inserts for the Adapt backpack with quick top access. The trekk 75 IGUs are much stiffer and sturdier and give maximum protection to very heavy, extensive gear – made for the Element trekkpack 75L.
Does the Performance Line hip belt fit the trekkpack?
No. The Performance Line hip belt is made for the Adapt backpack and the Element backpacks (20L & 30L). The Element trekkpacks have their own heavy-duty hip belt, which is thicker, more stable and built for heavy loads.
Which spare parts are available?
For example quick-release buckles and the mud cover for the Element Line, plus extra hook-and-loop pads for the camera compartment. If you can't find a specific part, get in touch – we're happy to help.
