Optimized shoulder strap design: improved memory foam padding for even more comfort when the backpack is heavy. Carefully revised shaping offers even better adjustment to different body sizes and shoulder circumferences.

New, attached Molle system on the shoulder straps, which facilitates the attachment of accessories such as camera clips.
First generation Element padding.
The new ProTec padding is not only lighter and more space-saving, but with various step-down sizes and folding points, it always offers the possibility to perfectly mirror gear or stack it protectively. Even small lenses can be optimally fixed with the pads. The new intermediate steps double the versatility of the interior.
Length of the Velcro area for placing dividers ends after approx. 38cm.
The Velcro area of the storage space has been extended to the divider flap to the rolltop. This means that up to 20% more storage space can be used for individual layout and positioning of dividers as required.

I'm well under 5'7", but I need a lot of space. Will the 30L Element fit me?
The Element 20L backpack is actually the best choice for people with slimmer, smaller builds. If it doesn’t offer enough space, it depends on the length of your spine. Even shorter people can have quite long backs. There are people who are 5’3” tall for whom the 30L model fits very well. But you’ll have to try it on to be sure.
I love how comfortable the Element backpack is. But when I'm flying or going about my daily routine, the hip belt bothers me sometimes.
We know exactly what you mean. That’s why all Element backpacks come with a removable hip belt. So you can use it as needed or pack it separately in your backpack or suitcase when traveling by plane.
How do I remove the ShiftPro hipbelt from the backpack?
You'll find attachment straps on the left and right outer flaps of the hip belt. You can unthread these. Next, reach your hand into the opening between the back panel and the hip belt itself. There is an internal Velcro section here. You can release this with your fingers. Then you can simply pull the ShiftPro hip belt out to either side.
Is the durability still just as good as before, even without the load-distributing straps?
Yes, absolutely. The 20L version didn’t have load-distributing straps even in the first generation. After many years of use, these aren’t necessary for the 30L model either. Without these additional straps, accessing the contents is faster and hassle-free. In addition, we’ve equipped the Element Backpack 2.0 with a newly designed strap attachment and a larger, more robust zipper, so that the Element Backpack is ready for any situation and will last for many years.
Can the new padding on the model 2.0 securely hold my gear in place?
With very compact lenses, small cameras, and slim accessories, a precise fit inside a camera backpack is especially important. That’s why we’ve completely redesigned the interior padding. Now there are numerous folding sections in all padding sizes. The padding provides ideal protection, takes up less space inside the bag, and can, for example, closely follow the contours of your camera to secure and organize it perfectly.
