The compagnon store in Birkenfeld is opening its doors for the first time for an exclusive summer sale event. We invited you to get unprecedented bargains, get your hands on our beloved prototypes and unique pieces from model development, chat with us and other creatives over drinks and tasty snacks and simply have fun socializing. The atmosphere was great, we talked shop, laughed, browsed and of course shopped.
A crazy and full weekend lies behind us. Although we had planned for a long time and prepared intensively, we still weren't sure whether and how many guests we would welcome.
We moved into our premises a good year ago, but the renovation took an unexpectedly long time...
When we decided to rent an office with retail space back then, we also firmly resolved to organize an "opening party" or something similar. After a good year, a celebration of the "new opening" was no longer really appropriate. So we quickly gave this small event a new name:

The compagnon Summer Sale 2016

We announced the event weeks ago via Facebook and our blog. We even contacted some of you with a personal invitation by letter.
We wanted to use a Friday evening and Saturday morning to invite friends, relatives, fans & customers, as well as anyone interested in the world of compagnon, to our store.
After we had completed all the preparations, the assembled compagnon team sat in front of our store shortly before the start of the event on Friday at 6 pm with a lot of stage fright and expectant nervousness.
Shortly afterwards, it became clear how superfluous this uncertainty was. We didn't count the total number of visitors, but many of our fans and customers came.
Our store couldn't have coped with many more visitors at times. A luxury problem.
We were incredibly happy. We had a wonderful time with exciting and intensive conversations. Our snapshots hopefully reflect this. Our thanks go to all visitors, especially to those who made the long, arduous journey (from Cologne and the surrounding area, for example) to be there.
We are already secretly forging ideas for the next compagnon event. But first we have Photokina, then..., and of course... and then...
we are probably running out of days in 2016.
We are just as excited as you are to see what will happen for and with compagnon in the coming months.
